Zuppa Toscana

- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 3/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 5 small cans chicken broth
- 6 potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup whipping cream
- Kale, chopped (as much as desired)
Instructions
- Brown sausage with red pepper flakes.
- Saute onion and garlic in sausage grease.
- Add chicken broth, potatoes, sausage and onion to slow cooker.
- Cook on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours or on LOW for 5 to 6 hours.
- Add whipping cream and kale, and cook for 30 minutes longer.
