Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
3/4 cup ketchup, or to taste
1 tablespoon brown sugar, or to taste
1 teaspoon yellow mustard, or to taste
1/2 to 1 teaspoon teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
6 hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown and crumble ground beef; drain well.
- Add onion and bell pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients, except hamburger buns, to the skillet.
- Cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes..
- Taste for seasoning before serving and correct if necessary.
- Spoon over toasted hamburger buns.
