Stick of Butter Rice has been around for a very long time. It’s an excellent side dish.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup uncooked Jasmine rice
  • 1 (10 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
  • 1 (10 ounce) can beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. In a 9-inch square baking dish combine rice, soup, broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Cut butter into slices and place on top of the mixture.
  4. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes more.

Notes

This recipe can be doubled or tripled.

A small can of drained mushrooms can be added, if desired.
