Rolo Pretzel Turtles

Rolo Pretzel Turtles

These are a favorite candy at our house during the holiday season. Children love to help making them. Use M&Ms Peanuts instead of pecans for a more festive holiday look.

Ingredients

  • Small traditional pretzels
  • Rolo candies (chocolate covered caramels)
  • Pecan halves (or walnut halves and Brazil nuts)

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 300 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray.
  2. Place small twist pretzels on baking sheet and top with a Rolo candy.
  3. Bake for 2 to 3 minutes or until chocolate just begins to turn shiny. The Rolo’s should be soft but not melted.
  4. Remove from oven, and immediately push a pecan half down onto the Rolo so it flattens out across the pretzel. Let cool.

Notes

Use roasted peanuts instead of pecans for a Snicker’s Bars taste.

Use M&M’s Peanuts for a festive look during the holiday season.
