Rocky Road candy traditionally uses peanuts and miniature marshmallows. This recipe also uses sweetened condensed milk to make a very creamy candy.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-ounce) package chocolate chips
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups dry roasted peanuts or almonds
  • 1 (10 1/2-ounce) bag miniature marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk and butter in microwave or double boiler.
  2. Mix dry roasted peanuts or almonds and miniature marshmallows together in a large bowl.
  3. Fold in chocolate mixture.
  4. Spread in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.
  5. Cool and cut into squares.
  6. Store in a covered container at room temperature.

Notes

Use colored marshmallows at Easter and Christmas to make a colorful candy!
