  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 8 ounces 1x
  • Category: Seasonings
  • Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Units Scale
1/4 cup dried parsley 1 tablespoon dried dill 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon onion powder 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1/3 cup powdered buttermilk (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, add all the ingredients except powdered buttermilk. If you prefer the texture to be finer, pulse the spices in a mini food processor.
  2. Stir in the powdered buttermilk, if using.
  3. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and store it in the pantry for up to 6 months if not used immediately.
  4. Use 2 tablespoons of this seasoning in place of a 1 ounce packet.

Notes

To make Ranch Dressing: Combine 1 tablespoon seasoning mix with 1/2 cup mayonnaise and 1/2 cup buttermilk. Whisk to combine and refrigerate, covered, for 30 minutes. Stir when ready to use.

To make Ranch Dip: Combine 2 tablespoons seasoning mix with 16 ounces sour cream. Refrigerate, covered, for 1 hour before serving. Stir before serving.

A couple of the heavier ingredients tend to drift to the bottom of the container, so shake it well before using.
