How to make your own self-rising flour
- All-purpose flour
- Table salt
- Baking powder
Measure the desired amount of flour into a separate container.
For each cup of all-purpose flour, add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Use a whisk or fork to blend the mixture thoroughly before you use it in a recipe.

- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 1/2 cups packed dark brown sugar
- 1 cup 2 sticks butter, melted
- 2 14 ounce cans dulce de leche
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, stir together self-rising flour, oats, brown sugar and butter until well blended.
- Pat half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Spread all of the caramel sauce over the top of the oat mixture until evenly covered. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until lightly browned.
- Let cool before cutting and serving so the caramel will firm up.
