Melt Cookies
Melt cookies have a soft, gooey or melting texture, which comes from ingredients that create a rich, chewy consistency. This is achieved through the use of certain types of fats (like butter), the ratio of flour to sugar, and the baking time and temperature.
Melt Cookies are very easy to make.
Oats can be a great addition to cookies, adding texture, flavor, and nutritional benefits. Here are a few popular ways oats are used in cookies:
- Oatmeal Cookies: Classic oatmeal cookies often combine rolled oats, brown sugar, flour, butter, and eggs, sometimes with added ingredients like raisins, chocolate chips, or nuts.
- Healthier Cookies: You can substitute some or all of the flour with oats to make a healthier version. Oats add fiber and nutrients, which can help make the cookies more filling.
- No-Bake Cookies: Oats are a key ingredient in no-bake cookies, where they are typically combined with ingredients like peanut butter, cocoa powder, and sweeteners like honey or syrup.
