French Loaf Pizza

Here’s a fast, easy and inexpensive pizza that goes together in no time.

  • Yield: 2 to 4 long half loaves 1x
  • Category: Entree
  • Method: Oven
  • Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 or 2 loaves French bread ($1 at Walmart)
  • Pizza sauce
  • Mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • Toppings desired

Instructions

  1. Slice loaves of bread in half lengthwise, top with pizza sauce, mozzarella or provolone or any cheese you like.
  2. Top with your favorite toppings.
  3. Bake at 475 degrees F for about 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is melted, gooey and, if you like, slightly browned.

Notes

Ciabatta bread comes in the square form. It’s also great to use for this pizza, and it has a nice “chew” to it.
