Easy Refried Beans
If you need refried beans in a hurry, Easy Refried Beans is a darned good recipe. It rivals most restaurant refried beans that I’ve eaten.
Refried beans are so versatile that they can be used in a variety of dishes.
How to use refried beans…
- Tacos and Burritos: Spread refried beans as a base layer in tacos and burritos. They add creaminess and a hearty texture.
- Nachos: Use refried beans as one of the layers on nachos. Top with cheese, jalapeños and other toppings before baking.
- Enchiladas: Fill tortillas with refried beans, cheese, and other ingredients, roll them up, and place them in a baking dish. Top with enchilada sauce and cheese, then bake.
- Quesadillas: Spread refried beans inside a tortilla with cheese and any other fillings. Cook on a skillet until the tortilla is crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Dip: Warm the refried beans and serve them as a dip with tortilla chips. You can add toppings like sour cream, guacamole, salsa or cheese.
- Side Dish: Serve refried beans as a side to complement rice, grilled meats or other main dishes.
- Breakfast: Incorporate refried beans into a breakfast burrito or serve them with eggs and tortilla on the side for a hearty breakfast.
- Fried Rice: Stir refried beans into fried rice for added protein and flavor.
- Soups and Stews: Use them to thicken soups and stews, or as a base for a bean soup.
- Veggie Burgers: Mix refried beans into veggie burger mixtures for added moisture, flavor and protein.

Instructions
- Fry bacon until crisp.

Notes
I usually mash about half of the beans, leaving the remaining beans whole.
