Buttery Mulled Cider
Buttery Mulled Cider is a warm, comforting beverage made by gently heating apple cider infused with cloves, cinnamon and allspice. This delicious cider contains a generous amount of butter plus a tad of orange and lemon juices.

This is a warm, spiced beverage that has origins rooted in European traditions, particularly in regions with a history of cider-making and seasonal festivities. Mulled cider, in general, is believed to have originated in medieval Europe, where heating and spicing cider was a common way to preserve and enjoy apple beverages during the colder months.
The addition of butter and rich spices to mulled cider is often associated with traditional recipes from Northern and Central Europe, such as Germany and the Nordic countries, where mulled drinks like Glühwein (mulled wine) and hot spiced ciders have long been part of winter celebrations. The butter adds a creamy, rich texture, enhancing the warming qualities of the drink.
