Gyros recipe

Traditionally, the meat is stacked onto a vertical spit and slow-roasted, turning continuously to cook evenly. Thin slices are shaved off as the outer layer becomes crispy and flavorful. For this Americanized version the meat is cooked on the stovetop or grilled.
