This Japanese-American sauce is also known as white sauce, shrimp sauce, hibachi sauce and yummy sauce. It’s actually a glorified fry sauce, and it is an American invention, not a Japanese invention. Whatever you call it, it is YUMMY! No Japanese steakhouse meal is complete without it – whether drizzled on grilled chicken, fried rice, noodles, vegetables and as a dipping sauce for shrimp, crab cakes, potstickers and sushi, it’s simply scrumptious! It is especially good for dipping Gyoza (Japanese Dumplings.
