Sourdough Tortillas recipe

Ingredients

1 cup sourdough starter (active or discard)
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup olive oil or coconut oil
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
3 cups all-purpose or whole wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and knead for 2 to 3 minutes in mixer using the dough hook. Alternatively, you can knead by hand for 5 minutes until the dough is elastic.
  2. Place dough in greased bowl, cover, and ferment at room temperature for 12 to 24 hrs.
  3. Divide dough into 12 pieces.
  4. Roll each piece out to 1/4-inch thickness.
  5. Cook for about 30 seconds on each side.
