New Mexico red chile pods
Hot water
Garlic powder, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Soak the chile pods in hot water until they are softened.
- Add the pods to a blender with 1 cup of hot water, then add garlic powder and
black pepper. - Puree until of the desired texture, then add salt to taste.
Notes
Red Chile Sauce with Ground Beef: Simply brown the ground beef well and chop finely as it is browning. Drain well, then stir into the Red Chile Sauce.
