8ouncespenne pasta1 1/4poundsground beef2 tablespoons butter
8ouncesmushrooms, sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 (10.5 ounce) can French onion soup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/3pound coarsely chopped provolone cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain well.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground bef.
Add butter and mushrooms and cook until almost golden, about 5 minutes.
Add onion and bell pepper, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more.
Reduce heat to low and stir in soup and Worcestershire sauce.
Salt and pepper to taste.
In a small bowl make a slurry by whisking together cornstarch and 2 tablespoons cold water. Whisk the mixture into the skillet and cook for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened.
