Lil' Smokies

Seven different flavors of Lil’ Smokies! All of these delicious sauce combinations work with meatballs or sliced franks as well.

Sweet and Sour Smokies

  • 2 (14-ounce) packages Lil’ Smokies
  • 1 jar grape jelly
  • 1 bottle Heinz chili sauce

Sweet and Sour Smokies 2

  • 2 (14-ounce) packages Lil’ Smokies
  • 1 can jellied or whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 bottle Heinz chili sauce

Saucy Smokies

  • 2 (14-ounce) packages Lil’ Smokies
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Barbecue Beer Smokies

  • 4 (14-ounce) packages Lil’ Smokies
  • 1 (18-ounce) bottle sweet and spicy barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces light beer
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

Honey Sriracha Smokies

  • 2 (14-ounce) packages Lil’ Smokies
  • 1 (10-ounce) jar jalapeno pepper jelly
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons Sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Whiskey Smokies

  • 2 (14-ounce) packages Lil’ Smokies
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup whiskey

Sweet and Tangy Smokies

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow or Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup water (or as needed)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (dissolved in a little water to make a slurry)

Instructions

Sweet and Sour Smokies

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a slow cooker or large saucepan. Stir well to mix. Heat on LOW for 2 to 4 hours in a slow cooker or simmer on stovetop for 10 to 12 minutes until sausages are heated throughout and sauce is bubbly.

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a slow cooker or large saucepan. Stir well to mix. Heat on LOW for 2 to 4 hours in a slow cooker or simmer on stove top for 10 to 12 minutes until sausages are heated throughout and sauce is bubbly.

Saucy Smokies

  1. In a bowl combine ketchup, Sriracha sauce, mustard, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce, stirring well. Dump the cocktail sausages (or mini kielbasas) into a slow cooker and pour the sauce over the top. Heat on LOW for about 2 to 4 hours.

Barbecue Beer Smokies

  1. Place the little Smokies sausages in a slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients and stir to combine well. Cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours or LOW for 4 to 4 1/2 hours, or until the sausages are warmed through.

Honey Sriracha Smokies

  1. In a slow cooker, whisk together the jalapeno pepper jelly, garlic, ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, Sriracha sauce and sesame oil. Add the sausages and stir to combine. Cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours or on LOW for 4 to 4 1/2 hours, or until the sausages are warmed through.

Whiskey Smokies

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a slow cooker or large saucepan. Stir well to mix. Heat on LOW for 2 to 4 hours in slow cooker or simmer on stove top for 10 to 12 minutes until sausages are heated throughout and sauce is bubbly.

Sweet and Tangy Smokies

  1. In a medium size saucepan, whisk ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, water and cornstarch together. Add sausages and stir to coat sausages with sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce the burner to low and simmer for 20 minutes or until sauce is thickened.
  2. Alternatively, the sauce ingredients can be combined in a bowl, mixed well and poured over the sausages in a slow cooker. Heat on LOW for 2 to 4 hours.
