Hobo Packets are a favorite meal-in-one to cook on your grill or in the oven.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef patties (number desired)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Assorted vegetables, as desired
  • Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Place the ground beef patties on individual large sheets of heavy duty aluminum foil. Salt and pepper the patties.
  2. Place desired vegetables, sliced or cubed potatoes, carrots, bell pepper strips, onions, etc. on top of the patties.
  3. Sprinkle liberally with Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Close the packets, using a double seam to secure them.

To cook on the grill

  1. Place packets on grates, and cook for 10 minutes.
  2. Turn and continue to cook for an additional 15 minutes.

To cook in the oven

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Place packets on the oven rack, and cook for 10 minutes.
  2. Turn and cook for an additional 15 minutes.

Notes

Hobo Packets may be prepared ahead of time and kept cold in an ice chest.

Packets may need to be cooked for a longer time depending on the thickness of the ground beef patties.
