1 (8 ounce) package macaroni
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 cup cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup bread crumbs, buttered
