Deep-Fried Mushrooms

Deep-Fried Mushrooms features only four ingredients, so making these tasty appetizers is quick and easy.

Ingredients

8 to 10 ounces whole white mushrooms 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs or flavor of choice

Instructions

  1. Wash the mushrooms and remove about 1/8 to 1/4 inch of the stem.
  2. Pat mushrooms dry with a paper towel.
  3. Coat mushrooms with flour, lightly tapping to remove excess flour.
  4. Dip into eggs.
  5. Coat with bread crumbs.
  6. Set on a rack for a few minutes so batter sets/dries.
  7. Heat the oil in the deep fryer to 375 degrees F.
  8. Deep fry mushrooms in batches for approximately 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Drain on paper towels and serve.
  10. Serve with Garlic Aioli, barbecue sauce, Ranch dressing, or all three!
