Alice Springs Chicken recipe

Enjoy Alice Springs Chicken, an Outback Steakhouse favorite, in the comfort of your home – so super easy!

Ingredients

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, 1/2 inch thick 1 teaspoon McCormick's Season All (or more if needed) 6 slices bacon, sliced in half Honey mustard 1 cup sliced mushrooms, drained 3 cups shredded Colby or Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Rub chicken breasts with Seasonal All and set aside to marinate for 1 hour.
  2. While the breasts are marinating, fry bacon crisp and drain.
  3. Sauté chicken breasts over medium heat in a large cast iron skillet with just enough oil to prevent sticking. Cook on both sides until a slight golden color and cooked in the middle but not dry.
  4. Spread chicken breasts with honey mustard, cover with a layer of mushrooms, three pieces of bacon and then sprinkle with shredded cheese, making sure that all chicken is covered with cheese.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 15 minutes or until cheese melts.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley, and serve with extra honey mustard on the side.

Notes

If you do not have a large ovenproof skillet, remove the chicken breasts from the skillet to a 9 x 13 inch baking pan, then proceed to step 4.
