Adobo Chicken recipe

A popular Filipino dish known for its savory, tangy and slightly sweet flavors.

Ingredients

1 pound chicken thighs and legs, skin removed
1 pound chicken wings, skin removed
Salt and pepper to taste
1 small, sweet onion, diced
1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
4 cloves garlic, chopped
2 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper and place in slow cooker.
  2. Mix together the onion, soy sauce and vinegar, then pour over chicken.
  3. Sprinkle garlic over everything.
  4. Add bay leaves to the top.
  5. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours (until meat is cooked through).
  6. Serve with rice.
